Message from the President & CEO Welcome to LIFT 2 Owensboro Health • December 2018 Don’t forget to celebrate your milestones n the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, and especially during the holiday season, it is easy to let busy-ness get the better of us. Our calendars are full of appointments, to-do lists and meetings. There are gifts to buy and projects to finish. We get up early and stay up late, but some days there just aren’t enough hours to fit it all in. While I’m certainly someone who likes to get things done, I have also learned the importance of celebrating your milestones along the way. One of the best things you can do for your well‑being is to hit the pause button and reflect on the things you have accomplished. Nothing refreshes your spirit like seeing how far you’ve traveled along your journey — whatever that is for you. Maybe you lost weight, quit smoking or improved your health this year. Perhaps you achieved something wonderful at work or celebrated a milestone in your family. Or maybe you did something that made a difference in the life of another person. Take a moment and be thankful for what you have accomplished. It’s worth it. In this issue of LIFT , Owensboro Health celebrates a historic year of milestones across our health system, and we are happy to share some of those stories with you. You’ll read about major anniversaries for both of our hospitals, the Healthpark, and our three new Healthplex facilities in Madisonville, Henderson and Powderly. Together, these facilities are elevating the health of our region, and I am grateful for the lives they have touched and healed over the years.
