The Candy-Striper Program at MCH accepted as many as 25 such students every summer to volunteer at the hospital. Above: One of the biggest changes in 1983, especially for patients, was the introduction of new patient rooms. In 1983, Muhlenberg Community Hospital opened a new front wing. The hospital also got a new sign and a beautiful courtyard space.
