Lila Lassiter Executive Assistant to Chief Operating Officer Ed Heath Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital Lila’s nomination from her peers Lila excels at modeling the core commitments of Owensboro Health. She always has a smile on her face and is committed to performing her duties at a high level of excellence. She handles complaints with a positive attitude and empathizes with each person. Lila is truly amazing at communicating with the public. She has a “make it happen” attitude and assists others, doing what it takes to get the job done. She is patient, kind, positive, selfless, thorough and helpful. Her commitment to Owensboro Health is remarkable and she is a great asset to our team. Integrity. Excellence. Respect. Teamwork. Service. Innovation. We call these qualities Owensboro Health’s Core Commitments. Every year the health system recognizes individuals who embody these six qualities with the President’s Award, the system’s highest honor. Owensboro Health’s mission is to heal the sick and to improve the health of the communities we serve. To meet our mission, it takes people who go above and beyond every day to live these core commitments. They are truly people with a heart to serve others. To receive the President’s Award, an individual must first be nominated by one of their co-workers. The nomination is then reviewed by a committee made up of former award winners. The identity of those nominated is a closely held secret, so nominees earn the award based on what they do, rather than who they are. It is my privilege and my pleasure to work alongside these award winners and to share their accomplishment throughout the region. I hope that you’ll join me in congratulating them for their efforts, which are making a difference in our health system and our communities every day. Greg R.
