Meet Amy Nave Member since: September 2004 Number of visits: Nearly 2,000 Amy Nave has been coming to the Healthpark since she came home from college. She started out coming in after work each day when she owned a furniture shop just up the street from the Healthpark. As her family grew, she adjusted her schedule and continues to make her way to the Healthpark after she drops her children off at school. Amy starts her day walking the track and then she works out in the Rogue Room five days a week. She will tell you, “My heart is in the Rogue Room.” After her workout, she gets ready for work in the locker room, where she has a permanent locker and takes advantage of the laundry services. Amy’s commitment to the Healthpark not only improves her physical health but also her mental well-being. It helps her to feel better, look good and live healthier. Meet KennyAskins Member since: March 1999 Number of visits: Nearly 4,000 Kenny Askins has been driving 32 miles from Newburgh to the Healthpark six days a week to work out for almost 20 years. He started coming to the Healthpark after working a 12-hour night shift at Alcoa and now that he is retired, he considers working out one of his jobs. Coming to the Healthpark every day helps him to reduce his stress and achieve his goals. Kenny’s go-to workout starts with a couple miles on the treadmill and then he uses the Technogym strength machines. Kenny’s dedication to staying fit makes other aspects of his life better. It gives him the energy to do the things that he loves to do, including gardening and martial arts. He is currently working on his third-degree black belt in tae kwon do.
